Miss Amy Pearson

Associate Governor - School Business Manager

My name is Amy Pearson. I am an Associate Governor at Holmer Lake Primary School.

I joined the school in February 2024 and am the School Business Manager responsible for overseeing the support functions of the school including finance, HR, Health and Safety, facilities, cleaning & catering.

I originally qualified in Human Resources and carried out several HR roles before moving into Education in 2016 when I became an Assistant School Business Manager for a Church of England Secondary School in London. I then relocated to Cambridgeshire where I was an Operations Manager for several years for an Independent School before going on maternity leave and then relocating to Shropshire.  

Since moving to Shropshire, I have worked for Telford & Wrekin providing HR support to schools and various Council departments before joining Holmer Lake in my current role.

I enjoy working in schools and being part of a team which aims to provide the best possible learning environment for the pupils that attend.
